Frontispieces and illustrations. Ex-library, with rules laid down on front pastedown endpapers; former owner's stamps scattered throughout; ink gift inscription and notes on endpapers. Covers worn, with masking tape around covers. Tape stains on frontispiece and inner margin of title page of volume 1. Back joint of vol. 2 split. In general, aside from occasional light foxing, and the stamps, the text is clean and crisp.
